BIOgraphy
Daley is an acclaimed British singer songwriter and creative artist from Manchester UK whose unmistakable falsetto, emotionally resonant songwriting and unique sense of style have earned him an international reputation as one of the most distinctive and unique voices in contemporary R&B and soul music.
With influences including Prince, Chaka Khan, Sade, George Michael and Radiohead - Daley has built a career defined by soul-baring vocal performances, relatable lyricism and a unique blend of alt-R&B, soul, jazz and pop. Across two critically acclaimed studio albums (Days & Nights and The Spectrum) he has scored multiple Top 5 and Top 10 Billboard R&B radio hits, earned recognition from the Grammys, MOBO Awards, BET and Soul Train Awards. He has also collaborated with an extraordinary range of artists including Stevie Wonder, Gorillaz, Pharrell Williams, Jill Scott, and Jessie J.
Daley emerged from London's underground music scene in the early 2010's after a breakout collaboration with Gorillaz, which shot him onto the world stage. He then began to grab attention with his first solo release - the Those Who Wait EP. The project was downloaded over 200,000 times, and introduced the world to Daley's unique brand of future-throwback soul, and a world class vocal talent.
Having signed to Republic Records/Universal Music Daley's next release was Top 5 radio hit 'Alone Together' (ft. Marsha Ambrosius) which took over the airwaves in the USA and has become one of his best known songs, it also established a strong international fanbase.
Daley's acclaimed debut album Days & Nights released via Republic Records came next, featuring standout songs 'Look Up' (produced by Pharrell) and 'Broken'. Deeply personal sophomore album The Spectrum followed, birthing Top 5 Billboard radio hit "Until The Pain Is Gone" featuring Jill Scott and cementing Daley as an artist building legacy though music. Both albums were followed by sold-out headline tours around the US and Europe.
Returning with a sharpened sense of purpose and artistic freedom with new album Strange Nature - coming September 18 - Daley is building upon his soulful foundations, expanding sonically with new collaborators including Grammy Award winners Robert Glasper, Marsha Ambrosius, UK producer Swindle and more. Embracing orchestral textures and new levels of vocal freedom Daley explores the 'strange' beauty and pain of the Human experience. The album will run along with a 27-city headline tour of the USA through the Fall.
Daley is entering his most visible season yet with a devoted global fanbase and story built on timeless artistry, rather than temporary trends.
